On-site consultation

Clarity, a clear path forward, and no costly mistakes.

Every design starts in your garden. I review your site before I arrive, then spend an hour or more walking the property with you, reading what the land is telling me, and sharing ideas on how it could work for the way you live. It's a focused, in-person conversation: you'll come away with clarity and direction, so feel free to take notes and photos as we go.

$495 incl. GST
  • 1 to 1.5 hours, in person at your property
  • Held on scheduled consultation days, with appointments at around 10am, 12.30pm and 3pm
  • A travel fee may apply for sites more than 50 minutes from Nambucca Heads, confirmed when you book

Who it's for

A true standalone service. Many people book a consultation simply for ideas, direction and expert advice on their garden, and that's where it ends. It's also the first step for every design project.

What's included

  • A desktop review of your site beforehand
  • A full site walk-through
  • Design possibilities for your garden
  • Early insights on layout and materials
  • Options for planting styles
  • Ideas for resolving levels and retaining
  • Site constraints and opportunities
  • What to prioritise first

Not included

  • A site survey or measurements
  • Design drawings or plans
  • Plant lists or construction pricing
  • Written notes, a report or a summary. The consultation is advice given in person on the day.

What happens next

If you'd like a full design, the investment steps up: design packages start from $8,000 + GST, and I recommend a construction budget of $75,000 or more. If you'd like to go ahead and we're a good fit, I'll prepare a tailored proposal and present it to you online.

Booking

Planned around you, and around the region.

  1. 1After your discovery call, if a consultation is the right next step, I offer you a time on an upcoming consultation day.
  2. 2Consultation days are planned by area, so travel between appointments works. Times are confirmed with you, and occasionally I may suggest a small change to fit the day's travel.
  3. 3Tell me about your site and, if you'd like, share photos, plans and inspiration so I can prepare.
  4. 4Your booking is confirmed once payment is received. Then a confirmation with what to expect, and a reminder the day before.

Getting the most from your visit

The more I know before I arrive, the more I can give you on the day. Sharing is entirely optional, but anything you can send ahead helps me prepare. Send it however suits you: email, a shared folder or a Pinterest link.

  • Photos and short videos of your garden
  • Site plans, house plans or architect's drawings
  • Your site feature survey, if you have one
  • A wish list of garden elements, or your priorities
  • Inspiration images: Pinterest boards, saved posts or photos
  • On the day: everyone involved in decisions, and a heads-up on gates, pets and parking

Consultations begin with a conversation.

Tell me about your project, then book a 20-minute discovery call. If a consultation is the right next step, I'll offer you a time after we've spoken.
